I love the way his cap pokes out , displacing the banner, creating a visual interruption which anchors him in the composition...offset again ! ...which gives dynamism to the composition , on this occasion enhanced by the bright clours of the banners set against the neutrals of the wall, skin and coat ....MASTERFUL !

impressive portrait. the light and shadows are quite good, the pipe adds and the flags add as beautiful characters of the frame. you should go to Yunnan. you can see people smoking bong pipes beside the road.
